The short version
This site has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no analytics. It does not sell or share data, because it does not collect any beyond what a web server logs by default.
What your browser stores
When you confirm that you are 18 or older, the site remembers that choice in your browser, with a local storage entry and a cookie both named splicebay_gate, so the question does not come back on every page. Nothing else is stored in your browser by this site. You can clear both at any time in your browser settings, and the age question will reappear.
What the server logs
Like almost every web server, ours keeps standard access logs: the address requested, the time, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. Those logs are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and they are rotated and deleted by the hosting setup on a routine schedule.
Third parties
- Google Fonts. The site’s typefaces load from Google’s font service, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers and shares your IP address with them when a page loads.
- Candy. Links to Candy carry an affiliate tag so Candy can attribute a sign-up to this site. Once you follow one, you are on Candy’s site under Candy’s privacy notice, which covers what Candy and its affiliate provider record.
- Images. Series covers and creator posters are stored on this site’s own server, so viewing them does not contact Candy.
If you write to the contact address, your message and address are kept in an ordinary mailbox for as long as the conversation needs, and never added to any list.
Changes
If anything in this notice changes, the new version replaces this page and the date below the title changes with it.
